Hi there, I’m Melissa! I’m so happy you’re here. I’m a high-energy, neurodivergent perfectionist, full of emotion and creativity. I love creating, but for so long I have let my fear of success hold me back. But not anymore! That’s why I am here. I am launching this business that I have dreamed of for so long. I feel a push from God and my family to step out in my faith and make this dream a reality. My passion for photography began when I was just a child, as I watched my sweet grandmother flip through the photo albums to help her remember her life as she suffered with Alzheimer’s disease. Facebook, Instagram, and social media is flooded with ads and all the hustle and bustle of “influencers.” There is something really sentimental to me about physical photos that you can flip through with your family without the distractions of all the extra stuff online clouding the moments of nostalgia. I started “Mermaid at Heart Photography” because I truly believe, through a little vision, you can be whatever you want to be! A mermaid, a fairy, a super hero, a strong woman, a mother… all those things we dreamed of as kids. We should never stop dreaming and becoming the person we want to be, because nothing is impossible with God! My hope is when you work with me, you will feel my heart and love for people and my passion for making you feel amazing!
